This Honda NSX Type S Is A Rare 90s Gem - CarBuzz

The NSX Type S features a number of custom parts that make it more fun to drive: this car gets a titanium shift knob for better feel when swapping cogs, and also gets an ultra-rare MOMO Zagato-style steering wheel which perfectly blends in with the rest of the 90s interior. The exterior also includes a lightweight rear spoiler and a set of uber-cool BBS lightweight aluminum wheels.

In order to make the Type S more fun to drive, Honda had to shed some weight, something it managed by introducing a single-pane rear windshield, some nifty Recaro carbon-kevlar Alcantara leather seats, as well as a lightweight engine cover, manual rack and pinion steering, and a lightweight battery. The total weight is 2,910 pounds. To improve handling, Honda fitted stiffer front dampers and a beefier rear sway bar. Powering this car is a double overhead cam Vtec V6 engine that produces just under 300 horses, and allows the Type S to sprint to sixty in the low five-second range.
