Driver of blue Honda sought for questioning in connection with New Springville hit-run - SILive.com


STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a Honda sedan sought for questioning in connection with a hit-and-run crash in New Springville.

The crash occurred on Sept. 1 at 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Forest Hill Road and Richmond Avenue when the Honda, which was traveling northbound on Richmond Avenue, collided with a 51-year-old female bicyclist that was crossing Richmond, police said in a statement.

The Honda made a right turn onto Forest Hill Road and left the scene, according to the police statement.

The bicyclist was knocked to the ground and suffered a bruise to her head and scrapes and bruises to her hands and legs, police said.

The woman was transported to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze in stable condition, according to police.

The NYPD released a photo of a Honda whose driver is sought for questioning in the incident. It was taken from cameras on Forest Hill Road.
